A major scam related to the Learner’s Licence (LL) examination has surfaced across India, raising serious concerns over the integrity of government systems. Reports suggest that fraudsters are allegedly hacking into official transport department websites, bypassing the online LL examination process, and offering guaranteed licence approval for as little as ₹50 per applicant.
According to multiple accounts, individuals involved in this racket circulate links and contact details through YouTube videos and social media platforms, luring unsuspecting candidates who wish to avoid the mandatory online test. Victims claim that once paid, their applications are marked as “passed” without actually appearing for the exam.
This malpractice has been reported in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, and is said to be spreading rapidly nationwide. Experts warn that such activities not only undermine road safety but also compromise government data security.
Authorities have yet to issue a unified response, but transport departments in multiple states are believed to be investigating. Cybercrime units have also been alerted, given the potential hacking of official portals.
